MORDIALLOC Sailing Club members take a journey into the past each week by setting sail on a traditional six metre St Ayles skiff.

The boat took Mordialloc Sailing Club members a year to build. It was sponsored by Bendigo Bank’s Parkdale branch.

The group takes the boat out each Thursday evening at 5pm. In 2022 the Mordialloc Sailing Club crew rowed from Mordialloc down to Portsea with a Coast Guard escort – they travelled 110kms over 7 days. In February 2024 the club plans to row from the Port of Sale to Paynesville before going on to Lakes Entrance.

The skiff is available for community events. Contact the sailing club at msc@mordiallocsc.com.au or 0467 229 116.
