PRIZES for cyclists will be on offer as part of “Biketober” next month, an event encouraging people to cycle.
Kingston mayor Cr Georgina Oxley said Biketober is “a great way to make cycling part of everyday life while having a bit of fun along the way.”
“You don’t have to be a serious cyclist to take part in Biketober, you just need a bike and a reason to ride. Cycling is a great way to keep active, get some fresh air and clear your head, and it can be as simple as swapping a short car trip for a ride,” Cr Oxley said. “It’s also a great excuse to get out and explore more of Kingston, whether you’re riding on your own, with friends, with your family or as part of a workplace or community group.
“I’d encourage everyone to give it a go this October. Every ride counts, and the most important thing is getting out there and enjoying it.”
Prizes on offer for registered cyclists include $1000 in cash and a $4000 holiday. Register for Biketober 2026 at lovetoride.net/kingston
