A FRANKSTON man and a Carrum Downs man have been arrested in relation to a non-fatal shooting. Police allege that a 38-year-old Hampton man and a 23-year-old Hampton woman approached a stationary vehicle in Hampton on 9 July, and the man was shot in the upper body. Police allege that the parties involved were known to each other.
On 29 July, police arrested an 18-year-old from Frankston at a Frankston property. The week prior they arrested a 41-year-old Carrum Downs man. During the investigation, police say they seized a firearm, ammunition, and drugs.
The Frankston man was charged with intentionally cause serious injury, conduct endangering life, contravene firearm prohibition order, possess ammunition, possess firearm, possess methylamphetamine, and criminal damage by fire. He was remanded in custody to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
The Carrum Downs man was charged with prohibited person in possession of firearm, contravene firearm prohibition order, possess firearm related items, trafficking methylamphetamine, and possess ammunition.
The man shot was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries. The woman was not physically injured.
