A FREE clinic for women experiencing menopause has opened at Bayside Health’s Sandringham Hospital.
The new Menopause Connecting Care Clinic offers specialist care for menopause, perimenopause, and other related conditions. The state government says it has opened 20 women’s health clinics statewide as “part of a landmark $153 million women’s health package to respond directly to Victoria’s Inquiry into Women’s Pain.”
Health minister Ingrid Stitt said “for too long, women have struggled to access specialist hormonal care – this new clinic will make it easier to get the best care quickly and close to home.” Parliamentary secretary for health, MP Pauline Richards, said “this new clinic brings experts together under one roof, giving women across Melbourne’s south east free, coordinated specialist care closer to home.”
