$65,000 IN federal government grant money has been awarded to 27 volunteer organisations across the Dunkley electorate.
Dunkley MP Jodie Belyea said that the money “will help volunteers access new equipment, resources, training and other practical support.”
“Our volunteers are the heart of Dunkley. They coach our kids, support our neighbours, bring people together and step up when they are needed most,” Belyea said. “These grants are a small thank you to the people who give so much of their time to make our community stronger, more connected and more caring.
“Being on the ground across Dunkley, meeting the people who make these organisations work, listening to what they need and then helping deliver support is a real privilege.”
Frankston mayor Cr Sue Baker and Stephen Sparrow from Family Life were part of the grant selection committee.
