THREE teenagers have been charged over a Langwarrin stabbing which left a father fighting for life.
41-year-old Colin Sheean was allegedly stabbed after confronting a group of teenagers breaking into a car on Govan Street, around 12.20am on 26 September. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Three teenagers were later arrested and charged in connection to the stabbing. The teenagers were remanded to face a children’s court on 27 September.
A gofundme has been set up to help Sheean’s children, who lost their mother five years ago. The fundraiser read “ Colin, 41, is dad to two girls aged 14 and 11. Sadly five years ago he lost his wife and the girls lost their mum, Natalie, when she died from a sudden and unexpected cardiac arrest. Now he is in the fight of his life and has a long journey of recovery ahead of him.”
“Colin is the sort of guy who would do anything for anyone. He has a heart of gold and it was no surprise that he stepped in,” the fundraiser read. “The last thing anyone would ever expect is to be stabbed outside their own home. His girls have already been through so much. Any help for this family would be greatly appreciated.”
The fundraiser has raised upwards of $170,000. For more information visit gofundme.com/f/support-colin-and-his-girls
