A MAN was hit on the head with a beer bottle during a fight on a Frankston-bound bus, 8.20pm, Sunday 7 May. Police said the victim, 38, was on the 901 bus from Dandenong station to Frankston train station when he got into an argument with another man and his girlfriend who boarded at Frankston-Dandenong Rd, Carrum Downs.

The offender is said to have pulled the victim up by his clothing when the bus was passing near Kananook station and hit him with the bottle.

The driver stopped the bus at Frankston station and alerted protective services officers but the couple had run off along Well St.

Police are viewing CCTV of the incident. The victim was taken to Frankston Hospital. Transit police are investigating.
