Detectives from Frankston Crime Investigation Unit are investigating two robberies in Frankston in December.

Investigators have been told a 20-year-old woman exited a Frankston shopping centre onto Ross Smith Avenue when she was allegedly assaulted by a group of teenage girls about 2.45pm on 14 December.

One of the groups snatched her purse and they all fled the scene.

It is believed some of the same offenders were allegedly involved in another robbery on 18 December.

On this occasion two girls, aged 16 and 17, were followed by the group into Ross Smith Lane.

Investigators have been told they were both physically assaulted before having bank cards taken.

Detectives have since arrested two teenage girls in relation to the incidents however they are hoping to identify three other females.

Police have released CCTV images of the three who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Two Flemington girls, aged 15 and 16-years-old, have both been charged with three counts of robbery and were bailed to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
