CHILDREN from a Chelsea daycare centre have helped raise more than $2000 for brain cancer research.

The kids (pictured), who attend G8 Education’s Chelsea World of Learning, have run a lemonade stand to raise the funds.

The childcare centre is managed by Brooke Tobias, whose 23-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with brain cancer. “My 23-year-old daughter Charlee-Jade is living with the impacts of brain cancer every day,” Tobias said. “Within 24 hours from the initial GP check-up, we were rushing Charlee-Jade to the emergency department and didn’t see her for five weeks due to COVID-19 lockdowns at the hospital.”

Tobias’ daughter has undergone treatment and is now cancer-free.

G8 Education’s 440 centres combined for fundraisers last week as part of the Children’s Hospital Foundation’s 2022 42k Your Way initiative. To donate to the Chelsea childcare’s fundraising effort, visit 42kyourway.org.au/fundraisers/WorldofLearningChelsea2
