FLASH flooding and wild weather has been striking across Victoria this month, and Chelsea has been no exception.
Chelsea SES received more than 10 calls for help on 7 October when flash flooding hit the area. Calls for assistance came from Bonbeach, Mentone, Aspendale, Chelsea Heights, and Chelsea.
Houses on Sherwood Avenue were affected by rising flood waters (pictured). SES crews attended to pump water away from the badly affected areas.
The Chelsea area avoided the worst of the storms that hit Victoria last week. Thompsons Road closed in both directions between McCormicks Road and Taylors Road due to flooding over the weekend.
