ONE Nation has named its candidate for Frankston at the upcoming state election.
Paul Stafford was announced as One Nation’s candidate by the party last week. He said “I want to restore Australia’s “can-do” spirit. One that rewards hard work, respects Australian culture and gives people the opportunity to build a better future.”
Stafford’s profile on the One Nation website reads “Paul arrived in Australia from the UK in the late 1980s after completing a hospitality qualification and building a career with some of the UK’s leading breweries. He immediately felt that Australia was home. After working with some of Australia’s biggest hospitality and entertainment companies, Paul moved to Victoria in the late 1990s and has called the state home ever since.
“Over the course of his career, Paul has worked alongside leading Australian entrepreneurs and hospitality operators. For the past decade, he has operated his own business, managing teams, taking financial responsibility and gaining firsthand experience of running a business in Victoria.”
Six other candidates are expected to run for Frankston: Paul Edbrooke (Labor), Bree Ambry (Liberals), Katie Goulas (Greens), Chrysten Abraham (Independent), Andrew Cheesemen (Victorian Socialists), and Julie Harman (Animal Justice). (“More election candidates confirmed”, The Times, 8/9/2026).
