FRANKSTON Council has endorsed a new “Circularity Roadmap” – a five-year plan to reduce waste, support local businesses and build a more resilient local economy. The roadmap signals a move away from the traditional “take, make, dispose” model, toward one where materials are reused, repaired and repurposed to deliver environmental, social and economic benefits for the whole community. AMBULANCE response times on the Mornington Peninsula have improved by more than one minute for urgent callouts in the last year. Ambulance Victoria released its response time data for 1 January to 31 March 2026 last week. The average “Code 1” response time on the Mornington Peninsula was 14 minutes and 48 seconds, a healthy improvement on the 15 minute and 56 second average during the same period of 2025. RETIRED police officers are being recruited to return to police station counters to free up officers for frontline duties. Victoria Police is recruiting 200 reservists to fulfill the role of frontline support officer.
