MONEY for improved CCTV across Frankston promised by the federal government before this year’s election is expected to be spent next year. The federal government promised to spend $1.5 million on CCTV installations across the Frankston municipality. Last week Frankston Council confirmed that the federal government would deliver the money across the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 financial years. A worker has died after falling from the roof of a residential property in Patterson Lakes on Saturday. The 63-year-old is believed to have been using a pressure washer to clean the roof before he was found deceased on the ground about 2:40pm. WorkSafe investigators responded and will determine whether further action is required. The death is the 54th confirmed workplace fatality for 2025. There were 51 work-related deaths at the same time last year.

THE girls’ volleyball team at Frankston High School have been crowned winners in their inaugural season. The school established its first girls’ volleyball team earlier this year to compete against other high schools. Between 25 and 27 November, the team competed in the Division One Year 12 competition at the 2025 Volleyball Victoria Junior Open. Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre hosted the tournament. After finishing second in their group, Frankston High School took on Volley Friends United Melbourne in the final. They won the final across two games, winning 25-19 and 25-6.
