Police are investigating following a fatal crash in Frankston this yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 10th January). It is understood a car crashed into a streetlight, tree and fence outside Franciscan Avenue about 4.30pm. Sadly the 34-year-old male driver, and sole occupant of the car, died at the scene. Police will prepare a report for the Coroner. THE federal government is seeking organisations to install its planned community batteries. Labor committed to funding the community batteries before its election last year. One of the planned batteries will be in Carrum Downs. On 30 January the government will begin considering applications for grants. Funding of up to $500,000 will be available to be used on the construction of community batteries.
