TWO people have faced court over the alleged theft of a car with a toddler inside in Chelsea. The car was allegedly taken from a grocery store on Nepean Highway at around 4pm on 8 January. Police say the car had been left running with a two-year-old boy inside while the car’s owner went into the shop. YOUNG parents who have dropped out of high school are finishing their educations thanks to a Chisholm Institute program. The Young Parents Program runs three times a week at Chisholm’s Frankston campus. The YPP is tailored to the needs of young parents who have not completed high school, Chisholm Institute says. Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following the death of a cyclist in Bangholme on Friday 13 January 2023. It’s alleged a vehicle struck a cyclist before leaving the scene on Frankston-Dandenong Road, north of Thompsons Road. The cyclist was located by passers-by on the side of the road shortly before 6am. The 68-year-old Dandenong man was declared deceased at the scene. A 37-year-old Cranbourne East man has been charged with numerous offences including dangerous driving causing death and failing to render assistance.
