Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information following a robbery in Frankston last month. Police have been told a 22-year-old woman was working at a supermarket in a shopping centre on Cranbourne Road, when she was approached by an unknown offender, about 8am on 30 December 2023. The man made demands for money from the cash register before threatening to stab the store attendant. She handed over a small quantity of cash and he fled the scene. A man who attempted a carjacking in St Kilda last night has been held down by the victim and members of the public until police arrived. Police were called to the intersection of Chapel Street and Alma Road following reports of an assault and scuffle, on Wednesday 10 January, about 8.55pm. TWO men are wanted over the theft of a car from Mordialloc on Christmas Eve. Police believe that a red 1988 Nissan Pulsar was stolen from Avalon Street at around 7.30pm on 24 December. They say two men arrived at the scene on their bicycles before stealing the car and driving away. THE Carrum Coast Guard’s annual fun run will be held next month. The fun run has been held for the last eight years. This year, runners will get started at the Patterson River Launching Way at 8.30am on 18 February. Two runs around Patterson River can be undertaken, a 6 kilometre and a 12 kilometre. The day will also feature a barbeque and kids activities. Entry for adults is $40 for the six kilometre track and $45 for the 12 kilometre. Money raised will go back into the Coast Guard.
