YOUNG students at Frankston Heights Primary School had the chance to play with a professional cricketer last week. Melbourne Stars player Nick Larkin visited the school last Monday, 25 July, to run a cricket clinic. He also ran clinics at Benton Junior College and Seaford Cricket Club. Later in the week Larkin was joined by WBBL player Sasha Moloney to teach kids cricket at five different primary schools – Tyabb Railway, Hastings, Balnarring, Dromana, and Rye. POLICE are appealing for public assistance after a man was assaulted in Carrum last month. It is understood a 46-year-old Carrum man was driving along McLeod Road, before turning into Valetta Street where a group of motorbike riders damaged his vehicle about 9.45pm on Friday, 24 June. Police were told the man was assaulted when he got out of his car. He was injured and required hospital treatment. The offenders fled the scene on their bikes. SOUTH East Water is proudly supporting National Tree Day at Edithvale Wetlands. National Tree Day is Australia’s largest community tree planting event, which is a call to action for people to get their hands dirty and give back to the community. Mornington Divisional Response Unit officers arrested two people and seized a large amount of cash and drugs after executing a warrant in Frankston yesterday. A warrant was executed at a Frankston-Flinders Road property as part of an investigation. A 35-year-old man and 41-year-old woman were arrested at the scene with members seizing a quantity of drugs, more than $9000 cash and tools. The Frankston man has been charged with traffick drug of dependence, possess methylamphetamine, possess proceeds of crime and bail offences. Frankston Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are investigating a series of sexual acts in Seaford last month. Investigators have been told a man showed pornography to a woman parked in the Keast Park car park on the Nepean Highway at 1.33pm on Tuesday, 28 June.
