AN upgrade of Pines Forest Aquatic Centre would mean more access to swimming lessons and reduce the risk of kids drowning, the Frankston mayor says. A PLAN for the future of Frankston’s CBD is in development. Council has begun community consultation to shape the Emerging Ideas paper for Frankston’s city centre. A GROUP of 11 young Frankston residents have been appointed to the 2022 youth council. The group is tasked with advocating for causes that are important to young people. Its members, who can be aged from 12 to 24, meet fortnightly. TWO men have been charged after allegedly driving dangerously through suburbs in Melbourne’s south-east. Police tracked a Hyundai along Eastlink, Peninsula Link, and the Mornington Peninsula Freeway on 4 April. They allege that the car was travelling against the flow of traffic, erratically, and at over 150 kmph. The allegedly stolen Hyundai was dumped at a Cranbourne shopping centre car park.
