A MAN was arrested and charged with trafficking a drug of dependence after police raided a Mordialloc home last month. In the early hours of 18 February, police raided the Mordialloc house. They allege that they seized around 30 grams of methylamphetamine with a value of more than $25000, about 5 grams of ketamine, anabolic steroids, a loaded handgun, firearm parts, ammunition, and $26,000 in cash. FRANKSTON Police have caught a woman driving at more than six times the legal blood alcohol limit. Police say that the woman drove over a traffic island and took out a road sign at around 8.30pm on 21 February. She left a trail of oil from her car through a roundabout, and came to a stop about 100 metres away. Police allege the woman, in her 30s, returned a breath test reading of 0.302. A MAN has been charged after police allegedly found a loaded gun in the backseat of his car after a pursuit in Frankston. Police on Frankston-Flinders Road spotted a car allegedly speeding at around 9.30pm on 17 February. With the help of the Air Wing police followed the car to High Street where the man and woman inside the car got out and fled on foot. The man and woman were subsequently arrested. A SISTER city agreement with Suva in Fiji is set to be officially signed this month. Frankston Council approved the establishment of the sister city relationship with Suva in September last year. In November council signed the memorandum of understanding. Cr Kris Bolam, who was mayor when the decision was made, has travelled to Fiji this week to formalise and sign the agreement. Ratepayer money is not being used to fund the trip. Honourable Premila Kumar, the Fijian minister for industry, trade, tourism, local government, housing and community development, is expected to meet with Cr Bolam to sign the document.…
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a collision that has left a motor rider with life-threatening injuries in Cheltenham this morning. It is believed a blue Toyota sedan was travelling along Charman Road when it collided with a Vespa motorcycle near Sydney Street about 6.50am. The rider, a 38-year-old Mentone man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the car, a 37-year-old woman is assisting police with their enquiries.
