The Langwarrin garden will play host to two performances of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by independent company Australian Contemporary Opera Co. The show will be performed on 20 February. State Highway Patrol officers have impounded the vehicle of a 45-year-old Edithvale man on 22 December. Initially intercepted on Mornington Peninsula Freeway at Patterson Lakes for using a mobile phone whilst driving, the man was also allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, with his 8 and 10-year-old children in the back seat. He alleged returned a reading of 0.148 and had his licence immediately suspended. His car was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1390. FOUR people have been arrested as part of a drug investigation which spanned Mentone, Elwood, and St Kilda. Police have been investigating an alleged major drug syndicate for the last four months. They executed six search warrants across the three south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne recently, resulting in four arrests and the seizure of drugs. A LANGWARRIN resident who helped keep people fed during lockdown has been hailed as a “pandemic hero”. While the state was under lockdown, Hiromi Hampton got to thinking about how she could help her fellow Langwarrin residents. She started up a little pantry on Melaleuca Crescent, complete with food and basic items for those who need them.
