A SURVEY to help decide local laws for pets is underway. The survey is part of Kingston Council’s review of its domestic animal management plan. The mayor Steve Staikos said “we’re asking pet owners and non-pet owners to fill out our survey and give us their views on a range of questions like ‘should it be compulsory to de-sex your pet’ and ‘what age animals should be  required to be de-sexed’. THREE people have been arrested and eight cars have been seized after search warrants were executed in Bangholme and Dandenong. Vehicle Crime Squad detectives executed warrants on Bangholme Road and Paul Court on 21 April. They seized eight allegedly stolen cars: three VW Tiguans, two Ford Rangers, two BMWs, and a Mitsubishi ASX. An allegedly stolen Harley Davidson motorcycle was also seized, alongside vehicle logbooks, number plates, and drugs. Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate 56-year-old man Christopher Jenkins. A warrant has been issued for his arrest in relation to stalking and breaching court orders. Jenkins is described as being about 165cm tall with a thin build, blue eyes, short grey partially balding hair, pale complexion and a grey beard. He is often a rough sleeper and was last known to be staying in a tent at Lake Bolac, however he also frequents the Frankston, Seaford and Ararat areas. CHANGES to Frankston Council’s communications policy are now in effect. The revised guidelines will allow for the mayor to direct a councillor to remove content from social media for up to 24 hours while potential breaches of the policy are investigated. The guidelines instruct councillors using social media to “not actively undermine any decision or position already taken by council or bring council into disrepute”. Councillors are also asked to ensure they “only share information that is already publicly available” and “notify the mayor and CEO of any comments made.” The changes were opposed by Crs Steven and Liam Hughes.…
