A MAN who stole four North Face jackets from the Frankston Power Centre is wanted by police. Just after 3.20pm, 14 November, the man stuffed four jackets into a bag before fleeing the store. Police have released an image (above) of the man they wish to speak to about the theft. Police say he has a “distinctive tattoo on his upper right leg”. WORKS will get underway soon on a $1.2 million redevelopment of the Belvedere Bowls Club. Council awarded a contract for the works last month. The existing office building will be demolished and the clubroom will be extended to allow space for a new storeroom, bar, cleaner’s room, match committee room, entry foyer, and office. The kitchen will also be refurbished, and the car park will be altered. Belvedere Bowls Club currently caters for just under 200 members. FUNDING for the $562 million Frankston Hospital redevelopment has been made available in the state budget. The budget was handed down by the state government last week. A total of $16.2 million in taxpayer funding was allocated in the 2020/2021 financial year for the hospital expansion. The budget papers showed that $27.2 million will become available for the project in 2021/2022, $124.6 million in 2022/2023, and $191.1 million in 2023/2024. Homicide Squad detectives have arrested a teenager as part of their ongoing investigation into the death of a man in Seaford yesterday evening. Emergency services were called to Station Street about 6.55pm on 25 November following reports that a man had been stabbed. A 26-year-old Langwarrin man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene. This morning, a 17-year-old male from Frankston was arrested by police; he remains in custody assisting investigators with their enquiries. Emergency services were called to Station Street about 6.55pm after reports that a man had been stabbed. Officers located a man in his 20s suffering life-threatening injuries. He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene. Police are yet to establish how the man sustained his injuries and Homicide Squad detectives are en route.
