THE state government has moved to make it easier for restaurants to expand their outdoor dining areas. The latest change to COVID-19 restrictions has given the green light for the hospitality industry to restart. 50 people will be allowed to dine outside compared to just 20 indoors, meaning many restaurants are looking to expand outside dining spaces. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two people and located drugs and cash in Frankston North today (Wednesday 28 October). Officers intercepted a car in Rosemary Crescent about 12pm and spoke to the driver, a 27-year-old man from Frankston North. The man was found to be driving while suspended and a search of the car allegedly uncovered cash and drugs. A second vehicle was intercepted at the same time and police spoke to a 26-year-old Carrum Downs woman. Her car was searched and drugs were allegedly found. A police statement released earlier this month read that “instances of predatory sexual behaviour on dating apps” is becoming a greater worry. DANIEL Maitland’s sister Bec was just 28-years-old when she suffered a stroke, changing her life forever.
