HUGE lighting towers have been installed at Frankston Park. The towers will allow for VFL and VFLW matches to be broadcast from the ground in the future. Work to install the four LED towers began in January. The project was funded through $850,000 from the federal government, $650,000 from the state government, and $1.3 million from council ratepayers. A DIRECT care worker working for Frankston Council has tested positive for COVID-19. The worker was last with clients on 7 August and is now self-isolating. Council deferred consideration of the permit application due to issues related to the provision of parking spaces. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman after an affray at a Café in Frankston yesterday, Tuesday 11 August 2020. It will be alleged a woman attended a café on Beach Street just before 12.20pm on 11 August and was spoken to by another woman at the café as she was not wearing a mask. The incident escalated and police were called. On police arrival the woman allegedly refused to state her name and assaulted a police officer.
