Dandenong Police arrested a male after he was found in a Dandenong fish and chip shop last night. The 39-year-old Frankston man made a splash diving through the roof of a Dandenong fish n chip shop at about 8.10pm. Police located him hiding out with the frozen fish display cabinet trying to blend in. The man had tried to slip through the police net and get off the hook. BODY cameras will soon be worn by police in Kingston, with 11,000 cameras to be deployed statewide by the end of the year. Body Worn Cameras are worn on police member’s vests, and record audio as well as video. A MAN has been arrested after crashing an allegedly stolen car in Mentone. Police attended the Nepean Highway at Warrigal Road after reports that a Nissan Pulsar had crashed into the back of a stationary car at around 12.40am, 13 July. The Nissan was allegedly stolen. Police said the driver of the Nissan fled, and the Dog Squad was called to assist in finding him. A 27-year-old Warranwood man was found hiding in the front garden of a nearby house. A SMOKING ceremony was held at the new yarning circle by Karrum Karrum bridge to commemorate NAIDOC Week, 9 July.
