Four teenagers have been arrested following an incident in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs overnight (17 July). Police spotted an allegedly stolen Nissan X-TRAIL travelling along Heatherton Road, Dandenong about 1am. The vehicle allegedly took off when police tried to intercept. It was monitored travelling through a number of suburbs including Rowville, Dandenong, Lyndhurst, Skye, Frankston and Carrum Downs. Police again spotted the vehicle with assistance from the Air Wing on Frankston-Dandenong Road, where it came to a stop. Five men have been arrested after warrants were executed in Carrum this morning as part of Operation Elmo, targeting crime and drug-related crime in the area. Caulfield Divisional Response Unit with the assistance of Frontline Tasking Unit and local officers executed warrants at two houses in Valetta Street and one property in Stanley Street just before 8.30am. A SERIES of alleged burglaries from places of worship has resulted in two arrests. Frankston crime investigation unit detectives teamed with Southern Metro crime team and the Greater Dandenong CIU to implement Operation FLAGRANCY. The operation was in response to alleged commercial burglaries at places of worship between March and July. Police said there were 31 separate incidents, including aggravated burglary, burglary, criminal damage and theft. VISION Australia’s seeing eye dogs are expected to have more than 40 puppies by the end of August which may one day become a partner to someone that is blind or has low vision. Once the pups are about 15 months old they will begin formal training at Kensington but, before that, their training begins all over Victoria.
