A COMMUNITY group helping Frankston people “who have nowhere else to turn for help” has commemorated its 50th anniversary. Community Support Frankston, originally the Frankston Citizens’ Advice Bureau, began offering help in the area in 1968 and is a place where food and shopping vouchers are available to those in need. CSF also offers information, support and advocacy for people with problems paying bills, housing costs or essential medical and essential medicines bills. TRADIES’ tools are being stolen in increasing numbers – and that’s frustrating police who say simple precautions would remove the temptation to thieves and make their jobs easier. A DOG walker at a Mentone beach was allegedly assaulted by another owner who accused him of kicking his dog, 6.30pm, Friday 9 March. The incident took place on Ashleigh Avenue when the man, armed with a knife allegedly tried to steal a car which was parked in a car space at the local shops just after 8pm on Tuesday evening (13 March).
