LIFESEARCH 2017 gives citizen scientists the opportunity to discover the plants, birds, insects, and other animals in the Western Port Biosphere Reserve. Lifesearch, the biosphere’s annual citizen science event for schools, individuals, families and community groups, runs throughout September to coincide with Biodiversity Month. All Lifesearch participants can make a contribution to the understanding of life in the Western Port Biosphere, as well as to the national Atlas of Living Australia database. A FIRE in a disused house in Davey St, Frankston, was “definitely suspicious”, police said last week. It is believed clothing worn by squatters was piled up near the front door of the two-storey brick veneer and set on fire, 4.30pm, Sunday 6 August. The property is slated for development with a photograph advertising new apartments out front showing the facade as part of the new building. It used to be the office of Nepean Hearing.
