Frankston police pulled over a vehicle with a somewhat fishy looking number plate in Carrum Downs Sunday (4 June) afternoon. The Holden Commodore station wagon was intercepted on Ballarto Road at 4.30pm. The car was displaying number plates written on cardboard with black marker that read ‘NOIDER” The 37-year-old Frankston man was found to be unlicensed and the car unregistered. His car, along with his handmade plates, were impounded and he will be charged on summons for unlicensed driving, unregistered vehicle, breaching an Interlock condition and driving an unroadworthy vehicle. A PASSING CFA volunteer saved a cat from its burning Frankston South house last week. The volunteer was on his way to a funeral when he noticed the blaze in the renovated brick veneer in Frankston-Flinders Rd, 1pm, Wednesday 31 May. Stopping to assist he noticed the cat pawing at a window. He picked up a rock and smashed the glass allowing the cat to escape. He then called in the emergency. Unfortunately, another cat caught inside died in the fire. About 20 firefighters from Frankston, Baxter and Langwarrin CFA brigades were onsite within 10 minutes and fought the blaze…
