FRANKSTON’S leaders and achievers will have a chance to carry the Queen’s baton when it travels through the city during the 2018 Queen’s Baton Relay. The baton will be in Frankston on Sunday 11 February next year as it journeys through Victoria to its final destination of the Gold Cost for the 2018 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony on 4 April. IT gobbles fuel and emits smoke and steam like a legendary dragon, but the historic 75-year-old steam train K163 is a drawcard for children where it is stabled at Moorooduc railway station.
