SEAFORD dojo martial arts instructor Soke, Tony Ball, has been honoured with an induction into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame last month. Ball has been training and has trained many others in martial arts called Fudoshin Ryu Bujutsu, a blend of aikido, kung fu, judo, jujutsu, weaponry and karate, with a focus on the unity of the mind, body and spirit. Three boys are currently in custody following a hit-run collision in Carrum Downs on Wednesday night which left a woman with life threatening injures. It is believed three to five small motorcycles were travelling east through a shopping centre car park on Hall Road when one of them struck the woman about 5.10pm. Investigators were told the small motorcycles failed to stop and left the scene. The 34-year-old Carrum Downs woman was airlifted to The Alfred hospital where she remains in a critical condition. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following a burglary at Skye earlier this month. Investigators have been told burglars forced entry to a shed on a rural property on Ballarto Road sometime between 3 – 9 September. The offenders then stole a 20-year-old go kart with the number 69 on the front. Detectives have released an image of the go kart and appeal for anyone with information about the burglary to come forward. A WOMAN who tried to pass off credit cards as her own and who produced someone else’s driving licence as identification has been charged with obtaining property by deception and handling stolen goods. The woman, 27, approached staff at the Super-A-Mart store, Nepean Hwy, Moorabbin, Tuesday last week, and ordered $8000 in stock. She paid a small amount in cash and then applied for finance using an allegedly stolen driving licence.
