COMMUNITY football leagues have thrown their support behind the expanded $29 million Moorabbin Reserve redevelopment project. New state-of-the-art facilities will provide a new headquarters for community leagues that represent over 14,000 players from the Southern Football Netball League (SFNL), South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) and TAC club Sandringham Dragons. Cold Case Missing Person Squad detectives have taken over the investigation into the disappearance of Frankston North woman, Karen Rae. The 48-year-old has not been seen since leaving her home address in Adib Court on Wednesday 15 April about 7pm. Six warrants have been issued for the arrest of the 50-year-old in relation to driving while suspended and other traffic offences. Detectives from Melbourne Embona Taskforce have charged a man following two alleged armed robberies in the CBD and Prahran in the past month. Leon Woods was arrested in Frankston this morning and charged with two counts of armed robbery. The 30-year-old Frankston man was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
