A CHELSEA Heights man was among those arrested as part of a police operation targeting the Comanchero and Finks Outlaw motorcycle gangs last month. Police nationwide made 25 arrests and seized around $200,000 worth of cash and firearms last month. As part of the operation they raided a premises in Chelsea Heights allegedly linked to the Comanchero OMCG. A 46-year-old Chelsea Heights man is expected to be charged on summons in relation to a rifle and shotgun found at his address, police say. PETA Murphy, the member for Dunkley since 2019, has died. Murphy passed away on the afternoon of 4 December aged just 50. Her family was by her side. In 2011, Murphy was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was re-diagnosed in 2019 shortly after her election. Murphy was married to husband Rod Glover for more than 20 years. FRANKSTON serial killer Paul Denyer will not be released from prison until he is permanently incapacitated. Denyer murdered Elizabeth Stevens, Deborah Fream, and Natalie Russell in Frankston’s surrounding suburbs in 1993. He was handed a life sentence with a 30-year non-parole period, which ended this year. Last week, Victorian Parliament passed a proposed change to the law to keep Denyer behind bars for life. A NEED for more regulation for private airports will form part of Kingston Council’s submission to the federal government’s aviation policy review. Kingston councillors agreed to make a submission to the review at a meeting this month. In a statement it said that it will call for stronger requirements for consultation with airport businesses during master plan processes, more investment in airport facilities, protections for neighbouring homes from tall buildings, and stronger regulation over privately-run airports.
