Police are searching for a motorist following a series of incidents where a car was driven erratically, causing numerous collisions in the Frankston area. About 6.40pm on Monday, 14 August a vehicle was seen being driven erratically on Ashleigh Avenue and Karingal Drive before travelling along the Peninsula Link and abandoned in Baxter. The vehicle is a purple 2009 Nissan Micra. It is believed a number of witnesses may have observed this incident. A FATAL motor accident occurred at Mornington on Wednesday afternoon, (says the “Age”.) As Mr Albert Dawson, of Two Bay’s Nursery was crossing the street with his sister, Elsie (Mabe) Dawson, a motor Car, driven an ordinary pace by Mr George Weigall, came round a corner, and before they could get clear it struck Miss Dawson to the ground, passing over her body. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious crash which occurred in Frankston last night. Investigators have been told a man attempted to cross Cranbourne Road about 11.10pm. He crossed into the path of a west bound Jeep and was struck by the vehicle. The pedestrian, who is yet to be identified and believed to be in his 20s, was airlifted to hospital suffering life threatening injuries.
