Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to following the theft of a battery pack worth $2600 from a cinema complex in Frankston this month.
Investigators have been told the man attended the Wells Street complex around 7.40pm on Saturday 19 September.
Once inside, he spoke to staff and claimed to be a construction worker who had left some of his tools in the main function room at the complex.
The man attended the function room where it is believed he stole a $2600 battery pack which was left in the room by an actual construction worker who was returning to work in the room that weekend.
Police have released the below still images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as being aged in his 40s, Caucasian, light-coloured hair with a bald patch on the top of his head and a grey beard.
He was wearing dark jeans, a white t-shirt and a black unzipped jacket.
