A BURNOUT has cost a Patterson Lakes man his Holden ute for a month after he was busted in Langwarrin last week.

Somerville Highway Patrol members saw the thick blanket of tyre smoke on Centre Rd, 5pm, Saturday 16 July.

The ute was clocked at 114kp/h in a 60kp/h zone. The 21-year-old was found to have a suspended probationary license, unregistered vehicle and bald rear tyres. His car was impounded at a cost of $1100.

The man has been released pending summons. He is expected to be charged with conduct endangering life, manner dangerous, speeding, driving while suspended and driving an unregistered and unsafe vehicle.’
