OFFICERS from Victoria Police’s transit safety division joined forces last Tuesday (1 August) with Frankston police, Sheriff’s officers and Metro Trains officers to target anti-social behaviour at Frankston train station and the bus precinct.

Over the course of the day as part of Operation Rickman, police issued 92 infringements, five traffic internments and arrested 15 people wanted on outstanding warrants.

Two people were arrested for carrying weapons.

Sheriff’s officers executed 311 warrants totalling in just under $130,000 in outstanding fines.

Inspector Martin Hardy, Local Area Commander for South Transit Safety Division said: “Operation Rickman is just one great example of law enforcement agencies working together to ensure community safety and security on the public transport system.”
