A PLEASANT evening listening to the band at a Mordialloc hotel turned nasty for a man who was attacked from behind while standing at the urinal, 11.45pm, Friday 8 September.
The man told police he heard someone behind him and half turned before being punched repeatedly until he almost blacked out. When his attacker left the man managed to make his way downstairs where he reported the incident to security staff.
He described his attacker – whom he had seen earlier in a downstairs bar with six others – as Caucasian, aged in his 30s, 183cm, 90-100kg, bald head and medium-to-fit build.
One of the other men also had a bald head. The victim was unaware of any reason for the attack.
