Meter man arrested

A SEAFORD man, 42, was last week charged with 25 counts of theft relating to stolen water meters committed between 3 December and 13 February in Frankston, Frankston North, Seaford and Carrum Downs.

The water meters were stolen from junior sporting clubs, Salvation Army, churches, Girl Guides, sports grounds and residential premises usually outside unit blocks.

The man was also charged with three counts of obtaining property by deception and three of dealing with property suspected of being the proceeds of crime.
