POLICE are investigating a vehicle that appeared in flames on McKays Road, Langwarrin.

At 4.55am on 10 November, a loud explosion sound could be heard from Yarralaumla Drive which neighbours the street.

A Ford Ranger was then found engulfed in flames.

Police and firefighters attended and the severely damaged vehicle was put out.

The car was found to be displaying stolen plates.
