SOMERVILLE Highway Patrol have impounded a 38-year-old Sandhurst man’s car after he was caught driving at almost six times the legal limit in Carrum Downs, 23 November.
Calls had been made to 000 reporting an erratic driver on Peninsula Link. Police intercepted the man at 6.40pm where he returned a positive breath test.
He gave a breath test reading of .296.
His licence was suspended and his car impounded for 30 days. He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving offences.
