Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a single-vehicle collision in Seaford early this morning.

The crash happened on Fortescue Avenue when a south-bound vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree just after 1.30am.

The driver, a 20-year-old Seaford man, and his 21-year-old male front-seat passenger were both conveyed to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two rear-seat passengers, a 20-year-old Seaford woman and a 19-year-old Hastings woman, were conveyed to a Melbourne hospital with serious injuries.
