CARRUM Downs police impounded an unregistered monkey bike in Centenary Street, Seaford, 10pm, Saturday 25 January.

The 27-year-old rider, who was not wearing a helmet, mounted the kerb and rode onto the footpath before being intercepted. He was found to be disqualified from holding a car/motorbike licence and will be summonsed to attend Frankston Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

The bike (pictured) was taken to an impound yard with a $961 release fee.

A 26-year-old man died in Karingal on 5 December after crashing his unregistered an unroadworthy monkey bike.
