A MAN is wanted by police after allegedly using counterfeit money at a Baxter motel.

Police allege that the man used the fake cash at the Baxter-Tooradin Road motel on 31 January. He is alleged to have approached the gaming counter and asked to exchange a counterfeit $50 note.

Mornington Peninsula Crime Investigation Unit are looking into the matter. They say the offender is of medium height and build, has red hair, is unshaven and was wearing a black shirt with multi coloured board shorts.
