POLICE are seeking information about a series of hard rubbish fires set in Frankston overnight between 23 May and 24 May.

Hard rubbish was set alight by unknown offenders at six addresses. The fires were lit on Anderson Street, Wave Street, Spray Street, and Bradshaw Street between 11.30pm and 2.40am.

At around 9.50pm on the evening of 24 May, three separate fires were set alight using hard rubbish on Beach Street.

Police believe that the rubbish was set on fire with use of an accelerant. They said that no homes or vehicles were damaged.

Police believe a tall man wearing a trench coat may have been involved.
