FRANKSTON Council is asking residents to take a survey about the impacts of climate change and what should be done to address it.
Frankston mayor Sandra Mayer said “we recognise the need for urgent action to address climate change and keep people and the environment safe, now and for generations to come. We want to hear your ideas and concerns so we can focus this action on the areas it is most needed.
“In a move dedicated to protecting the community from the impacts of climate change, council declared a climate emergency in November last year. Since then, COVID-19 has shown us it is possible to work collectively on changes which will improve our planet.
“The more people who complete the survey, the better picture we will have of our community’s priorities and ways of working together to respond to climate change. For the sake of our environment and those who live, work and play in Frankston City.”
