SEAFORD resident Geoff Bydder celebrated his 100th birthday with friends and family last week.

Mr Bydder turned 100 on Thursday. A surprise party was planned for him by his friends at the Belvedere Bowls Club.

Mr Bydder enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force in April 1940, and later joined the Australian Army. After being discharged in 1946, Mr Bydder raised four children. His wife Normie, remains by his side today.
