FRANKSTON Council is holding a survey to help better understand its citizen’s needs.
Council will choose 2,250 households at random to take part in the voluntary survey.
Council says data collected from the survey “may inform service reviews, activities to improve residents’ experience of Frankston City, activities and services involving health and wellbeing, to inform advocacy to government in areas including transport, strategic priorities and plans in health, wellbeing and housing, activation of the Frankston City centre and tracking progress on priorities identified in council’s strategic plans.”
The mayor Kris Bolam said “the voluntary survey will provide us with an update on the characteristics of the community since the last ABS Census was held 2016, so that our planning is up to date and responsive to changing community needs. Understanding the needs, views and aspirations of people living in Frankston City is key to the successful delivery of services and infrastructure that meet the diverse needs of our community.
“The findings from the survey will help to shape the activities, programs, services and infrastructure provided in Frankston City. The survey covers a variety of topics including health and wellbeing, employment and education, services delivered by council, housing and development, transport and sustainability.”
The survey will be conducted by Metropolis Research on behalf of council. It is expected to run over three weeks from July to early August.
