FRANKSTON Council has posted an improved result in its 2021 community satisfaction survey.
811 residents were interviewed for the annual survey. The results read that satisfaction with council’s overall performance was recorded at 6.71 out of 10, in the “good” category.
South-eastern region councils in Cardinia, Casey, Frankston, Greater Dandenong, Kingston, and the Mornington Peninsula averaged a satisfaction score of 6.70. The statewide average was 6.92.
Frankston Council says that the results are the best it has received in a decade – the mayor Kris Bolam calling them an endorsement of the new council. At the last local government elections, all councillors were replaced with the exception of Cr Bolam.
“Continually delivering the best outcomes for residents is at the heart of our services, advocacy and engagement. While these results are heartening, we know there’s work to do and will always strive for the best for the Frankston City community,” he said.
Frankston MP Paul Edbrooke said “it is pleasing to see that our current council have been able to increase their performance in serving our community especially in such difficult times. I’m proud to work hand in hand with a passionate and committed council to make Frankston better than it has ever been now and in the future.”
The annual survey was conducted by Metropolis Research. In previous years it has been conducted by JWS Research.
