Five teenagers were arrested after a police car was rammed in Frankston overnight.

Detectives from the Southern Metro Crime Team and Eastern Region Crime Squad are investigating a series of aggravated burglaries and aggravated carjackings which have occurred in Melbourne’s south-east.

Detectives were at a car park at the intersection of Ballarto and Frankston-Dandenong Road just before midnight.

They attempted to intercept a stolen vehicle when they were rammed.

It is alleged the Land Rover had been stolen from a Malvern East address on 27 February.

Five teenage boys were arrested and are currently in custody.
